The “Controversy” Surrounding Pixar’s Upcoming Buzz Lightyear Film

Disney just dropped a teaser for Pixar’s Toy Story spinoff, “Lightyear”. The trailer garnered 83 million views in the first 24 hours, ranking ahead of the new MCU film, “The Eternals” and, among Pixar films, only second behind “The Incredibles 2”.

The teaser also blew up on social media platforms, but not for the reason you might suspect. The CrossGen crew dives into the teaser, not only for the excitement of seeing a Buzz Lightyear movie, but also to talk about the controversy, real or otherwise, surrounding the film specifically and pop culture in general.
